I’m beginning to feel nervous about having only four weeks (or thereabouts) left to get my project completed.
Having got some feedback from my tutor at London Met and looked again at my objectives, I feel like I’ve lost somewhere along the line the real goals I was trying to reach. Firstly, should PR be engaging in social media? And then if yes…
1. What should they be doing? What are they doing?
2. Can, and should they be using word of mouth in social media to disseminate messages?
3. How do they figure out who, if there are any, the influencers are that will deliver messages?
A large part of this I feel that I left out is about building trust, through dialogue. And once these relationships are established, then you can start to look at whether WOM is effective. I need to figure out how to build this into my discussion, and to prove that this is actually the approach – if it is – that PRs are taking.
